With over 90 years’ experience in yacht building, Frauscher has taken the opportunity to enhance tradition with innovation by fitting the fully electric 740 Mirage Air with Torqeedo’s Deep Blue 100i. The 100kW electric inboard motor and two lithium batteries with BMW technology (i3-type), enable the 740 Mirage Air to cruise silently at 10 km/h for over 10 hours; its top speed of near 50 km/h, gives a range of 33 km.
The whisper-quiet Deep Blue 100i 2400 used in the Frauscher 740 Mirage Air is specifically designed and constructed to power planing motorboats with the reliable, easy-to-maintain direct-drive design delivering up to 2,400 rpm at its full power range and plenty of torque at low rpm.
The 40 kWh Deep Blue batteries installed in the 740 Mirage Air bring the latest in automotive-grade lithium-ion technology from BMW. The batteries feature industry-leading energy density and a comprehensive safety system. Torqeedo has tailored the characteristics of the Deep Blue battery to make it suitable for the marine environment and is offering up to a nine-year limited battery capacity warranty.
