Incentivising decarbonisation
Passionate about the electrification of the marine sector, Leo Hambro, co-founder and commercial director of Tidal Transit, will be speaking at Session 3 of Get Set for Workboat 2050 Series 3 ‘Incentivising Decarbonisation - Exploring different approaches to incentivisation’.
Leo has been running Tidal Transit, which has a fleet of 6 CTVs, since 2011. Tidal Transit is a partner in a joint venture with Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, with a further 3 CTVs in France. Tidal Transit has also partnered with MJR Power & Automation in developing an offshore charger for crew transfer vessels. Prior to Tidal Transit Leo ran a forestry & biomass group in Russia and, before that, cut his teeth as a sugar broker in London.
Series 3 of Get Set for Workboat 2050 looks at practical applications of decarbonisation and provide examples of businesses and workboat operators who are successfully employing technology, innovation, and design to reduce the carbon footprint. Learn from the expert speakers and panels as they demonstrate the benefits and efficiencies being gained by commercial marine businesses who are leading the way forward on the route to net zero.
