Instinct fills gap in the market
Training provider Sea Training International has been at the forefront of specialist training for fast craft operations for many years, carrying out training for Military, Police, Customs, Coastguard and Fire and Rescue Services. The company has used and tested CQC Fibrelight products over the last eight years.
It was during training for the Fire Service that it became apparent that there was a gap in the market for a new, more substantial and robust rescue ladder that could be deployed upwards from a RIB or other vessel to the equivalent of a first-floor window during flood rescue operations. The materials used would need to be as light as possible but as strong as possible with substantially thicker rods, formed from GRP, for the rescue ladder rungs. Sea Training International and CQC worked together to design the solution and the Fibrelight Instinct Ladder was the result.
Matt Adams, Business Development Manager for Fibrelight at CQC, took the opportunity to hand over the first Fibrelight Instinct Ladder to Paul Davies, Managing Director of Sea Training International, at Seawork 2019. Having previously introduced the Fibrelight Cradle into its specialist training courses, Sea Training International Ltd is now introducing the Fibrelight Instinct Ladder into all forms of training where vertical access to and from a boat is required.
