BMT has appointed Ronald Schörk as Technical Marine Consultant, reinforcing its global leadership in marine surveying and expanding its reach.
Ronald will play a key role in enhancing BMT’s marine consulting and technical service offering in the Netherlands and internationally, under the leadership of Dennis de Bruin, Managing Director for BMT’s Surveys division.
Ronald Schörk, who holds a BSc in Maritime Operations from the Hogeschool Zeeland, Vlissingen, and an MSc in Public Administration from Erasmus University, brings over two decades of experience in engineering and technical management. With seven years of experience at leading engineering firms, Ronald’s expertise in technical reporting and engineering solutions aligns seamlessly with BMT’s standards of quality, innovation, and precision.
Ronald has a proven track record of technical leadership and operational excellence across the maritime sector. He has led teams managing logistics and workshop operations for marine engines and propulsion systems, ensuring streamlined, cost-effective service delivery. His background in quality assurance demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and collaboration with engineering teams and regulatory bodies. He also brings hands on experience with dynamic positioning systems, having advised on complex vessel conversions and operational procedures. His earlier seagoing career and involvement in maritime innovation projects further highlight his ability to bridge technical expertise with strategic insight making him a valuable asset to BMT’s global marine consulting team.
