Manor Marine 'Nab's contract

Split Hopper Barge 'Nab' is up on the slipway at Seawork exhibitor Manor Marine's shipyard in Portland, Dorset UK for essential works after Jenkins Marine contracted Manor Marine to provide slipway, repair and maintenance services for the vessel.

Part of Jenkins Marine's fleet of specialist vessels, the 44.1m ‘Nab’ is undergoing a 9-week programme. Manor Marine has also removed two 2.7 tonne hydraulic rams from ‘Nab’ for servicing and is currently providing welding services for repairs on the vessel whilst Jenkins Marine utilises the slipway for painting and hull repair works.

Operations Director at Manor Marine, Leif Cooper, commented “We are pleased to once again be working with Jenkins Marine; …. a valued client of ours and well respected within the industry.”

Approved contractors for several local authorities and included on the Constructionline pre-approved contractor database, Manor Marine has over 30 years’ experience in delivering craftsmanship and excellence in ship building, repair & conversion, marine engineering and fabrication. Manor Renewable Energy Ltd acquired the Manor Marine shipyard in Portland, Dorset in 2017; the shipyard is now the company's headquarters.
