Meet the MOD at Seawork
Exhibitor exclusive - Meet the UK National Shipbuilding Office, MOD and DBT at Seawork & Marine Civils 2023.
Seawork & Marine Civils will see a strong presence by UK Government Departments, including the National Shipbuilding Office (NSO), as well as Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the newly formed Department for Business and Trade (DBT) at the exhibition.
The National Shipbuilding Office is responsible for coordinating vessel procurement across all Government departments, as well as implementing the recently published refresh of the National Shipbuilding Strategy. They are interested in meeting UK-based vessel builders and supply chain companies alike to understand your capabilities and the challenges you face so that they can better target support.
The MOD department, responsible for all UK Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) projects dealing with the procurement and through life support of all boats and their equipment, used by all three services, will be present again in strength and represented by the DE&S “Boats Team.” They use the Seawork exhibition as their annual Industry Days to meet with existing clients and meet new potential clients. If you are a boat building company with new products or ideas, the MOD team may want to visit your stand or boat for a short presentation. The Boats Team works with a handful of prime boat building contractors so if your equipment or service is part of a boat construction or boat equipment system, they will be able to advise you which contractors you should approach and talk to about your product/service.
The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) Maritime Capability Campaign Office (MCCO) (formerly part of the Department for International Trade) helps UK national companies involved with sales and export abroad, both commercial and military, for boats, equipment and related services. The DBT and MCCO teams provide advice on both commercial and military export business as well as UK Export Finance.
This is a unique opportunity for Seawork & Marine Civils exhibiting companies only to talk directly to UK Government departments. Exhibitors looking to take advantage of this exclusive benefit should submit their meeting requests via the online Seawork exhibitor manual.
