New associates for partnership

Arch Henderson is delighted to announce that two of its Engineers, Kevin Fettes from the Aberdeen Office, and Shane Jamieson from the Lerwick Office, will become Associates from 1 April 2021.

Kevin joined Arch Henderson in 2012 as a Senior Civil and Structural Technician, with experience in site management, surveying and setting out.  Kevin completed his Engineering Diploma through the Open University whilst working full time and has recently completed the Association for Project Management Project Professional Qualification (PPQ).  Now, as an Incorporated Civil Engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers and Member of the Association for Project Management, Kevin is responsible for contract management, civil engineering design, and project management for projects throughout the UK and the Falkland Islands.

Shane had an early introduction to the company when he was at school, in S3, as he did his work experience in the Lerwick Office.  He returned in 2012, while he was studying Structural Engineering at Strathclyde University, to work during the summer holidays.  When he graduated in 2013 he was offered a job as a Graduate Engineer.  With the support of Arch Henderson, Shane continued his education and completed a Masters in Civil Engineering and Project Management, after which he took advantage of a year’s secondment to the Aberdeen Office, followed by nearly three years in the newly opened Southampton Office.  He became a Chartered Engineer (MICE) in 2019 and returned to Lerwick in 2020, where he is currently busy working on a variety of marine civil engineering projects in both Lerwick and offering on-going support to Southampton.
