New panellist for USV conference
The half-day conference on the second day of Seawork, Wednesday 10 June, focuses on ‘USV’s growing role in the Commercial Marine Market’. The USV market is projected to reach $1,020 million by 2023.
Arun Pillai joins the conference as a panellist for the session, “USV's role in the energy transition”.A Chartered Naval Architect, Project and Business Management Professional, he graduated in Naval Architecture from the Cochin University of Science and Technology, holds an MSc Marine Technology from the University of Glasgow & Strathclyde, and an MBA from the Aberdeen Business School.
Arun combines business and project management, structure and installation design and analysis skills, with practical experience of shipyard works. His early career was with Lloyd’s Register R&D and Ship Emergency Services, London, and as Assistant Manager of the Structural Design Department at the Mazagon Docks, Mumbai. Later experience included senior technical roles in the Oil & Gas sector, with Technip, Fugro and Premier Oil, managing design and research projects, and asset integrity.
The USV Conference will be chaired by Peter Collinson, Senior Subsea and Environmental Specialist, BP International Limited.
