Ozgur Inam, CEO of Izmir Shipyards, has praised the Seawork exhibition following what he describes as the shipyard’s busiest year at the event to date. Speaking on the exhibition floor last month, Inam highlighted the high level of engagement and the quality of attendees at the Southampton-based show.
“We’ve had our busiest Seawork ever,” Inam said. “We’ve met three new brokers and we’re very close to signing a deal for one of our state-of-the-art pilot boats. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to connect with people who really know what they’re looking for.”
Ozgur also praised the event’s focus and professional atmosphere. “Seawork is a small but very targeted exhibition. There are no tourists here—just people with clear objectives,” he noted that the three-day format works perfectly and that he plans to keep coming back for the next ten years!
Looking ahead, Izmir Shipyards plans to showcase its latest innovations at Seawork 2026. Ozgur revealed ambitions to bring one of the cutting-edge electric pilot boats to Southampton next year.
With a strong showing this year and bold plans for the future, Izmir Shipyards is positioning itself at the forefront of sustainable innovation in pilot boat design.
