Regulation change brings truly global service

CA Clase, the specialist electronics company, is now able to supply the first solution to offer a truly global GMDSS service.

Brought about by a change in IEC regulations, the Iridium GMDSS system, developed by Lars Thrane, will integrate all three satellite GMDSS services at a fraction of the cost of existing options.

The LT-3100S GMDSS system is designed for all IMO vessels as an alternative or addition to the Inmarsat C. The LT-3100S GMDSS system meets all standards and certification requirements needed for worldwide maritime satellite communications equipment (MED, Wheelmark).

The LT-3100S GMDSS system also offers SSAS and LRIT functions (via additional equipment) and can be used as the primary satellite communication product on vessels, covering the basic communication needs in terms of connectivity between the ship and shore.

CA Clase (UK ) Ltd supplies and supports premium communication, navigation and entertainment products into the marine leisure, commercial/military and land mobile sectors.
