Ring Powercraft and Drumgrange join for Speed@Seawork and Seawork
Drumgrange will be demonstrating its latest wireless and wired intercom and radio combiner in a high- speed environment whilst Ring will display its race-bred strength, tracking and handling.
Ring has recently undergone a major expansion, including a move to its impressive new site in West Sussex. The company will be demonstrating its RP-M1050 Tactical Rib, equipped with Triple Mercury DSI outboard engines, Ullman suspension seating and Henshaw tubes. The stepped hull is available in versions up to 15 metres, with a maximum HP of 1700 for outboard, and beyond for inboard versions. It is a Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) solution to facilitate high speed defence functions including interception, interdiction, patrol, escort and evacuation. The craft can be adapted to meet envelope/fixing requirements for land, air or sea delivery.
The exhibition coincides with Ring’s announcement of their new 2019 Commercial range of RHIBS with stepped and deep V variants from 5 to 15 metres, suitable for all commercial and defence applications. Electric, Petrol or Diesel power options are available with inboard solutions including stern, surface or jet drives. Manufacturing and Quality Assurance are supported by ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certifications with the capacity to build to any required standards including RCD, Lloyds, DNV and SOLAS.
Drumgrange, which is celebrating its fortieth anniversary this year, will be showcasing its Diamond Radio and Combiner Intercom System range. Driven by the toughest user requirements, its crystal-clear communications are an ideal solution for fast-boat platforms such as the coast guard, small boat patrols and professional racing yachts. The intuitive interface for rapid fault-finding, easy maintenance and modular robust design makes it a system choice for crews. The Diamond system has been integrated on many MoD boats and land vehicles.
Drumgrange is as an expert in the integration of off-the-shelf technology to create successful, cost-effective solutions, demonstrated in the Wireless Intercom System. It provides wireless communications for 4 to 32 users through a small lightweight IP67 rated body mounted unit when interfaced with the Wired Intercom system. The Diamond system has demonstrated its status by being selected as the intercom of choice for one of the premier professional yacht racing teams in the UK and provided intercom capability throughout its campaign for the Americas Cup 2017 and towards the 2021 competition.
Ring Powercraft and Drumgrange are on berth VB10 at Seawork and available for trials and demonstrations at Speed@Seawork on Monday 10 June.
