Seawork once again cemented its position as a key international platform for the commercial marine and workboat sector as it welcomed strong representation from the Netherlands. Among the attendees was Netherlands Maritime Technology (NMT-IRO), whose members played a prominent role throughout the three-day event.
In an exclusive video interview filmed during Seawork, Madelief de Witt of NMT-IRO shared her insights on the importance of the exhibition for Dutch maritime businesses. Speaking live from NMT’s networking drinks reception, she described Seawork as “a unique exhibition with many Dutch and British attendees,” highlighting its value for fostering cross-border collaboration.
The networking reception itself took place on a SeaZip vessel, built by Dutch company Next Generation Shipyards – one of NMT’s own members. “Instead of holding it in the tents, we were fortunate to enjoy fantastic weather and a great turnout aboard the vessel,” Madelief said, noting the lively atmosphere and strong interest from both exhibitors and visitors.
Reflecting on their return to Seawork this year, Madelief explained that NMT-IRO opted for a larger stand to accommodate growing demand, showcasing 10 Dutch companies this year. “There was so much enthusiasm from new members wanting to be part of the event after hearing about its success,” she added.
