The Aister Aluminium Shipyard in Moañés has delivered the remaining two new fisheries inspection patrol boats to the Junta de Andalucía, Spain.
Named ‘Tartesos Tres’ and ‘Tartesos Cuatro’, the two vessels complete the order for the Agency for Agricultural and Fisheries Management of Andalusia (Agapa), which had previously taken delivery of the ‘Tartesos Dos’ and ‘Tartesos Uno’.
The vessels are based on the yard’s MZ12 model and are the first units of the range intended for fisheries inspection work.
The 11.38m aluminum hull form "give it optimal hydrodynamics, capable of exceeding 40 knots of top speed thanks to its two outboard engines of 350 HP each".
The Andalusian Government awarded the contract to Aister last year, following an investment of 1.6 million euros from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
