“Volvo Penta understands that to future proof our business we need to invest in the younger generation. That is why we have chosen to sponsor this particular award.
“After launching our own Marine Apprenticeship in collaboration with Bournemouth & Poole College, in July 2022, we have seen the benefits young people bring to our businesses. Taking the time to incorporate them into our world and fill a void of skilled engineers can only help build our future.
“Our company values of Passion, Customer Focus, Teamwork and Professionalism are all things that can be found in our apprentices. Taught early on, Volvo Penta see the benefits and understand the need to invest in the future.'
The winner of the Young Person’s Development Award sponsored by Volvo Penta will be announced on the evening of 13th June 2023 at Seawork.
