Ian Dobson, founding Director of TILT Engineering Design, is to speak at the CECA conference session, “Understanding the power of Tidal Projects for Marine Civils” at Seawork.
Sporting the strapline ‘We like it wet’, TILT Engineering Design is a new-era and rapidly growing engineering consultancy specialising in maritime infrastructure design for the ports, marinas and energy sectors. With offices in Portsmouth, London and Rochester, Chartered Civil Engineer Ian leads a team delivering innovative projects through planning, design and construction.
Ian joins fellow speaker David Cooper, Regional Partnership Manager; Clean Maritime ORE Catapult. Ian and David will outline opportunities for marine civils in delivering key offshore infrastructure; the magnitude of investment needed to build and maintain tidal power projects; the benefits, resilience, and longevity of tidal green energy; and the environmental implications for this renewable energy sector.
CECA will also be joined by Martin Willis, Executive Officer of the UK Harbour Masters Association (UKHMA), who will provide his insight on offshore projects and highlight the importance of engaging with the UKHMA for the necessary approvals.
