
Wescom Group acquires detection technologies company
Wescom Group has expanded its presence in the critical Defence survival solutions market with the acquisition of Nottingham UK-based detection technologies company KeTech Defence Ltd UK (KDL), a leading supplier in the provision of rapid detection solutions in the defence sector. The acquisition of KDL enables the business to provide a wide range of detection technologies and support services, further enhancing Wescom Group’s profile as a primary source of critical survival solutions.
Wescom Group Chief Executive Officer, Ross Wilkinson comments, “KDL’s expertise in detection technologies enhances our current critical survival capabilities. We are excited to work with the management team in growing the business both organically and geographically.”
KDL expands Wescom Group’s portfolio and complements its’ business model of defence survival solutions that include pyrotechnic signalling, screening, training and simulation, obstacle breaching solutions and now chemical detection.
