Returning to Seawork in 2027 is this year’s first-timer Belassi, an Austrian developer and manufacturer of high-performance marine propulsion systems for compact watercraft, jet boats and unmanned surface vessels (USVs).
Belassi develops and assembles its own engines, jet propulsion systems and electronic control solutions in-house, ensuring full control over performance, reliability and integration.
Over years of development, Belassi has engineered a family of compact turbocharged Marine Power Units (MPU) capable of delivering up to 400 hp while weighing only 118 kg, offering one of the highest power-to-weight ratios in the marine industry.
At the core of the portfolio is the Belassi Marine Power Unit (MPU), a compact, lightweight powertrain designed to deliver exceptional power-to-weight ratio, high torque and simplified installation. Combined with the Belassi Jet Pump and Remote Interface Kit (RIK), the system enables rapid integration, remote operation and seamless communication with modern control systems.
Belassi has recently collaborated with Italian company Besnati, combining Italian craftsmanship and yacht design with Austrian high-performance marine engineering to create a new generation of compact jet-powered tenders principally aimed at the superyacht market. Besnati was created with a clear ambition: ”to rethink the role of the luxury tender. Instead of being viewed as a simple accessory to a yacht, a tender should become an extension of its owner's personality, combining aesthetics, exclusivity and driving excitement into a single product. This vision is reflected in the Hurlo 325.”
Belassi offers a complete plug-and-play powertrain ecosystem including: Marine Power Unit (MPU), Jet Pump, Drive shaft, Intake system, Electronic controls, CAN Bus architecture and Engine management software. This complete systems approach significantly reduces engineering complexity for OEM builders while accelerating development and integration.
