You’re invited – Responding to the Climate Challenge
Join CECA, The Civil Engineering Contractors Association, on the early afternoon of Day Two of Seawork to learn how companies, end users and projects are all dealing with the move to Net Zero as an integral part of company strategy and day-to-day activities.
Balanced Energy directors Ashley Webber and Harry Stannett will present ‘Net Zero’; giving an overview of the main high-level issues surrounding how organisations, particularly SMEs who are engaged in the process of achieving Net Zero by 2050. Some practical examples of what they can do etc. from a corporate perspective.
Mark Clouter, Commercial Manager - WP Group, will talk on HVO; looking at the current issues of HVO and what they might mean for current and future users.
Andy Martin, Contracts Manager – Mackley, will give a presentation on the company’s work on Lydd Ranges – an exemplar scheme using alternative and innovative techniques to deliver a low carbon sea defence project.
The session, which takes place on Wednesday 22 June from 1245-1400, is open to all Seawork visitors and exhibitors – sign up to attend here
CECA will also be running a session on port infrastructure associated with the marine environment on Day One of Seawork – more details here
