Driving decarbonisation, digitalisation and autonomy will be the theme of this year’s Society of Maritime Industries (SMI) conference, which will explore the role of the maritime supply chain and marine science and technology sectors in the drive to deliver.
Taking place in Birmingham on 10-11 September, the SMI Conference 2024 ‘provides a fantastic opportunity to engage with industry leaders, explore the latest innovations, and discuss the future of the maritime sector.’
SMI has announced that the UK Ministry of Defence has chosen the SMI Conference as the launch platform for its next phase of market engagement for the Ships Engineering Project, which sits under the Naval Support Integrated Global Network (NSIGN) Programme.
Peter Collinson, an independent technology transformation strategist with a background at BP, will chair the SMI's 2024 Annual Conference.
