Williams Shipping has renewed its fleet safety agreement with Marine Fire Safety, continuing an arrangement that has been in place since 2022 and extending support to the company’s newest vessel, Willdiscover.
As a commercial operator, keeping fire and lifesaving equipment serviced, certified and ready for use is an essential part of maintaining the fleet. With vessels working to changing schedules and operating from different locations, the ability to manage servicing around vessel movements is particularly important.
The renewed agreement supports the ongoing servicing and management of equipment including fire suppression systems, portable fire extinguishers, liferafts and pyrotechnics, helping Williams Shipping keep key safety requirements organised across the fleet.
The newly built 24-metre utility vessel, Willdiscover, has now also been added to the agreement. Built by Neptune Marine, Willdiscover is the latest addition to the Williams Shipping fleet and brings further capability to its commercial marine operations.
The arrangement also gives the team access to electronic certification and helps coordinate servicing and equipment expiry dates, reducing the amount of administration involved in managing safety equipment across multiple vessels.
Marine Fire Safety has supported Williams Shipping for the past four years, working around operational requirements and vessel availability when servicing is needed.
