The second Walk-to-Work vessel in a series of four newbuilds has been delivered by Acta Marine.
The Acta Hercules Walk-to-Work (W2W) DP2 Construction Service Operation Vessel (CSOV), built at Tersan Shipyard in Turkey, goes straight into a five-year charter with Vestas, supporting the construction of offshore wind projects across Northwest Europe. The vessel’s first assignment will be on the Hollandse Kust West project in the Netherlands.
Purpose-built to support offshore wind construction and maintenance activities, Acta Hercules can accommodate up to 135 personnel and is equipped with advanced offshore access systems, enabling safe and reliable transfer of technicians to offshore installations.
In line with Acta Marine’s sustainability ambitions, Acta Hercules is equipped with methanol dual-fuel main engines and is methanol-ready, supporting lower-emission operations as regulatory and market conditions evolve
“The delivery of Acta Hercules, combined with a long-term charter commitment from Vestas, underlines both the strength of our fleet and the confidence of our clients in our organisation and services. With this vessel, we continue to build on the foundation laid with Acta Pegasus and further strengthen our position in the offshore wind market,” says Rob Boer, CEO of Acta Marine, part of the Jifmar Group.
With Acta Pegasus already delivered and Acta Hercules now entering service, the remaining sister vessels, Acta Gemini and Acta Aquarius, are scheduled to follow later in 2026.
