FISH Marine Design and Venture Maritime are to make their Seawork debut in 2026.
The first-time exhibitors have collaborated on ‘Venture 44’, a 13-metre ultra efficient aluminium motor vessel, focusing on efficiency over excessive fuel consumption.
Instead of relying on large, fuel-hungry engines, the vessel is designed for high-displacement cruise speeds while achieving impressive distances with minimal fuel use. It's designed to be a sustainable solution in terms of form, ability and construction materials.
The first vessel of class Venture 44 will be powered by two compact engines, capable of running on biodiesel, provided by EP Barrus. These will be paired with a high-efficiency twin shaft drive system, featuring drying-out capabilities from Michigan Marine Propulsion. Future electric variants are anticipated.
The project completed its structural phase on the Isle of Wight and is now in Plymouth for fitout.
