About the Speaker

Simon is a Naval Architect with over 27 years’ experience as a marine consultant, specialising in the management and investigation of marine incidents and casualties. He is a Member of the Lloyd’s Special Casualty Representative (SCR) Panel, Chief Executive Officer of Waves Group and leads the Company’s casualty response team. Simon has attended numerous incidents and casualties globally to manage the situation and bring them to successful conclusions. He has acted as a technical advisor to National Administrations and NGOs at IMO, and is regularly appointed as an expert witness, giving evidence in Court or hearings globally. Simon is leading Project Tangaroa, a global, collaborative initiative to reduce the impact of oil pollution from historic wrecks.
