Partnership delivers in Pakistan
Watch the launch of the Pakistan Navy Tug ‘Bholu’ in Karachi, the result of a successful collaboration between Tor Group International and Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works.
The project, managed by Tor Group, saw a MacDuff Ship Design tug delivered to Pakistan under a Design and Material supply package, fulfilled by the Tor Marine facilities in Turkey – a successful partnership.
The 48 Ton BP Tug is a proven, standardised design featuring “excellent seakeeping behaviour, superb manoeuvrability and outstanding towing characteristics”.
The launching ceremony was held in the presence of Deputy CNS (Projects) Vice Admiral Imran Ahmed as Chief Guest, and attended by representatives of M/S TOR Group, Pakistan Navy officials and Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works employees along-with their families.
Ian Ellis, Managing Director at Macduff Ship Design Ltd, sent his congratulations to Tor Group and Karachi Shipyard on the launch of the 25m ASD tug, saying it had been a pleasure to work with both companies on the project.
