The Workboat Association has stepped forward to sponsor this year’s Young Person’s Development Award in a record year for entries in the Seawork Awards.

The People & Project categories, including the Young Person’s Development Award, celebrate the individuals, teams, and initiatives driving excellence across the maritime industry. Sarah Kapdi from Carnival was 2025's Young Person’s Development Award winner.

Highlighting both emerging talent and established figures, as well as those whose contributions have had a lasting impact on the sector, the categories recognise everything from innovative projects and sustainable practices to outstanding professional achievement and leadership at all career stages; showcasing the breadth of expertise, dedication, and progress shaping the industry today.

The Seawork Awards cover a wide range of sectors and innovations, including the Innovation Showcase sponsored by SMI, ensuring opportunities for companies of all sizes to gain recognition for their achievements.
