Purpose
Safety Checks allow users to schedule, complete, and track recurring safety inspections on all safety equipment. This helps ensure that life-saving appliances and other essential items are fully operational at all times.
Key Features
- Users can create and assign scheduled safety checks.
- A traffic light system highlights:
- Overdue safety checks in red
- Upcoming safety checks (less than 7 days) in yellow
- Safety checks with 7 days or more to go in green
- Users can attach images and notes for better record-keeping.
- If a fault is reported, a maintenance job will be created instantly.
Example Usage
A vessel operator sets up weekly checks for fire extinguishers and emergency lighting. Each week, the crew member responsible for inspections completes the check and logs the result in Sea-Flux.
Final Notes
- Permissions for adding, editing or deleting tasks are controlled in the Crew Particulars section of the Crew Module.
- New job appears in “urgent” category of the job list when a fault is reported during a safety check.
