Drills overview

Purpose

The Drills section helps users schedule, log, and track mandatory safety drills, such as man overboard, abandon ship, and fire response drills. Regular drills ensure that crew members remain familiar with emergency procedures.

Key Features

• Users can schedule drills and assign recurring intervals (e.g., monthly, quarterly).
• Overdue drills appear in red
• Upcoming drills (less than 7 days to go) appear in yellow
• Drills with 7 days or more to go appear in green
• Crew participation is logged.
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) can be linked to specific drills.
• Digital signature required from the trainer.

Example Usage

A vessel must conduct fire drills every month. The captain schedules the drill in Sea-Flux, and after completion, records which crew members participated. If a crew member is overdue for a drill, this can be seen easily in the drill matrix.
