Purpose
The Maintenance Schedule is the central hub for managing all preventative maintenance tasks. It provides a structured and organised view of scheduled tasks, ensuring maintenance is carried out on time and recorded efficiently.
Key Features
- Tasks can be filtered by system, equipment, due status, and interval type for quick access.
- Keyword search allows users to find specific maintenance tasks.
- Tasks linked to engine/generator hours update automatically when engine hours are logged in the Vessel Dashboard.
Displays a task banner for each scheduled maintenance task, showing:
- Task Name – The title of the task.
- System & Equipment – The relevant system or equipment.
- Due Date – When the task is next scheduled.
- Maintenance Interval – The frequency of the task (e.g., monthly, 500 hours).
Uses a traffic light system to indicate urgency:
- Overdue tasks in red
- Upcoming tasks (less than 7 days) in yellow
- Tasks with 7 days or more to go in green
Example Usage
A vessel operator sets up monthly maintenance tasks for the generator, including oil changes and filter replacements. When a task is due, it appears in the Maintenance Schedule, where the engineer completes and logs the work. The system records the task history and updates the next due date based on the set interval.
Key Notes
- The Maintenance Schedule updates in real time as tasks are completed.
- A user’s permissions to view, add, complete, edit or delete tasks are managed in their crew profile.
- Regularly reviewing the schedule prevents missed maintenance, reducing breakdowns and ensuring compliance.
The Maintenance Schedule provides a clear and structured approach to preventative maintenance, helping vessel operators maintain reliability and compliance.
